June is a wonderful time to find butterflies. They love the milkweed and congregate along Pepper's Trail deep in the woods. This Painted Lady (vanessa cardui) enjoyed posing for the camera.This one is also known as the Thistle Butterfly because the caterpillers enjoy feeding on the thistle plants.
